The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (B&R Forum) opened at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center (BYCC) on the morning of 14 May. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Wang Wenbiao, Chairman of Elion, was invited to the forum and got the opportunity to listen to Xi’s remarks at the BYCC.

       It has been the first summit forum since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013 and is the most important international meeting and diplomatic activity hosted by China in 2017. President Xi Jinping summarized the substantial achievements that had been made in the past four years and put forward that the Belt and Road should be built into a road for peace, a road of prosperity, a road of opening up, a road of innovation and a road of civilization.

       Elion’s Chairman Wang Wenbiao, together with international high-ranking government officials, business leaders and academic authorities, listened to President Xi’s speech at the BYCC and also attended the Plenary Session of a summit of the B&R Forum and the Parallel Theme Meeting for Policies Communication.
