In 2006, 2007 and 2011, LIU Yandong, Vice Premier of the State Council, paid three visits in Kubuqi Desert, respectively, and advised “to focus on mobilizing social resources to make joint efforts on sandification prevention and control, improving combined mechanism of state supporting and self-reliance of local people, creating an atmosphere for nationwide participation in the sandification prevention and control with full responsibilities and supporting from everybody.”
